1. Purchase
Q: Can I get your software on a CD-ROM?
A: Yes, you can order a CD-ROM by checking the corresponding box in the Purchase section. However, please keep in mind that this CD-ROM contains exactly the same files as the ones downloadable from our Web site. Except for a very limited number of situations (e.g. when your organization requires that a hard copy must be received as a proof of purchase), there is absolutely no point in ordering a CD-ROM.
Q: Do I have to back up my downloaded software? Can I get another copy from you later?
A: No, you don't have to back up the downloaded software. You can always download it from our Web site. It's advisable to back up the registration key file, but only for the sake of saving your own time in case you lose it, as you'd have to request a new one from us. We'll send you a replacement should you need it.
Q: Do you have a reseller in my country?
A: Please visit the Resellers page to find out. Regardless of whether there is a reseller in your country, you can always purchase directly from us, no matter in which country you reside. We will always be able to offer a suitable method of payment and deliver the products to you.
Q: Do you offer special pricing for academic institutions, students, non-profit organizations, or government users?
A: Academic institutions and students - yes; please follow this link. Non-profit organizations - generally no, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis and we may offer you academic pricing depending on what kind of non-profit organization you are (e.g. if you are a children's charity organization, we'll most probably do that). Government users - no, we don't offer special pricing. However, you may qualify for volume discounts. All of the above applies to customers from any country.
Q: How can I download the full version of the product?
A: There are no separate files for the evaluation and full versions. The evaluation version becomes the full version if you have the registration key. The registration message that you have received from us provides detailed instructions on using the registration key. That said, our software is always available for downloading in the Download Area.
Q: I do not have a credit card. Can I register ObjectRescue.com software?

Q: I have an older version, how do I upgrade?
A: All upgrades within a major release are free. You can simply download the latest version here and unlock it with your "old" license key. Example: You purchased Digital PhotoRescue Professional Version 2.0. Then all the upgrades within the major Version 2 (i. e. Version number range 2.1, 2.2, .... ,2.99) are free.
Q: I'd like to purchase your product(s). What are the possible payment methods?
A: You can pay by major credit card (online, by phone, or by fax), Switch/Solo, check, wire transfer, or by placing a Purchase Order. We recommend paying by credit card, as this is the fastest, most convenient and secure payment method.
Q: I've placed the order. What next?
A: If you paid by credit card or placed a PO, your order will be processed by one of our partners. We outsource credit card and PO processing. Element5 or RegSoft, the largest software order processing companies in Europe and the US respectively, process such orders. If your order is successful, you will receive a registration message from us. This will convert your evaluation version into the full version. You will find the detailed instructions in the registration message.
If you paid by check or wire transfer, you will receive the registration key as soon as we receive your check clearance or the funds are credited to our bank account.
Q: If I purchase an activation (registration) code how long will it take to be sent to me?
A: When you purchase on-line using one of our secure e-commerce providers, PayPal, RegSoft.com (USA) or ShareIt AG (Germany), your registration key is immediately sent to you by email.
If there is a delay in your credit card provider authorizing the transaction, your registration key is emailed to you as soon as the authorization takes place (usually within 20 minutes thereof).
Q: Is ordering online (the software) safe?
A: Yes. And here is why. Our online store is operated for us by our e-commerce partners such as PayPal, RegSoft (RegSoft.com, Inc.) and ShareIt! (Element 5 AG), both companies are divisions of DigitalRiver, Inc. (USA). ObjectRescue.com uses these prestigious and time-honoured companies in order to provide you with round-the-clock ordering services, plus state-of-the-art safety and security when using your credit card online. If you buy your software online, usually you receive an email with your licence key and the software download link in less than a minute!
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: At ObjectRescue.com, we want you to be happy with your purchase. That is why we encourage you to try out our products and technical support free of charge for 30 days before you make a decision regarding the purchase. By making the most of these free evaluations, you can fully test the software and make sure that it does everything you need. If you have questions while you evaluate the software, please don't hesitate to contact our support staff. Because of this free evaluation practice, we do not refund or exchange software purchases. Once we have created a key file for you and emailed it to the address specified in your order, the software is considered delivered and opened, therefore making it non-returnable. If you have any questions prior to your purchase, please contact us.
2. Newsletters & Update Notification
Q: Can you inform me when you update the software?
A: Yes, please subscribe to our free newsletter. In addition, you can easily update your software: once we release a new update simply download it, install it and unlock it with your license key. This way you will always have the newest version installed. All updates within a major release are free, e. g if you purchased Version 3.0, the versions 3.1, 3.2 to 3.99 are FREE updates and you can use your "old" license key to unlock your download.

Q: How is ObjectRescue.com software different from other data recovery programs?
A: ObjectRescue.com software uses a recovery technique in which every storage location of you hard drive is searched. Our software will bring back deleted files even though all operating system reference to the files has been destroyed. The program recognizes deleted files by their internal structure, maximizing identification and recovery.
Q: What file types will ObjectRescue.com software recover?
A: ObjectRescue.com software will find any type of "Deleted File" (defined above) and will find more than 50 types of "Lost Files", a listing of which is provided here (If you are trying to recover a file that is not on this list, contact support@objectrescue.com and we will do all our best to quickly add it for you).
